This was a very quick meeting, mostly administrative.

• The legislative update was presented in the NREA session.
• NREAC has $68,966.49 in the checking account.
• The February Legislative Conference is scheduled for Feb 2-3, 2009 in Washington DC.
• The Executive Committee will be meeting late afternoon/dinner hour in Sunday, February 1.
• Noelle/Mary will email information about the hotel as it becomes available.
• Senator Lincoln was nominated for (and won!) the Hero Award.
• We are looking into being able to present Senator Lincoln with the award while you are in DC for the February meeting.
• Conversation then turned to the use of NREAC funds to co-host/resurrect the rural caucus in the house. There is an expressed interest on the NREAC side. Please email Noelle with the names of any representative you think would be a good fit.
• The group nominated the chair and co-chair for NREAC: Joe Bard will stay on as chair, and Ray Patrick will serve as co chair.
